This prop comes to you fully assembled and tested. This light sensor based prop allows for you to mount light sensor boards across your room (as you see fit), via 1.5m USB cables. These sensor boards are daisy chained to one another, back to the main board through these cables. The video above acts as a video manual. There are two programs that are selectable through the on-board variable resistor on the main processor board. There is also an LCD readout.
Operation (Program#1 - Dark Sensor Mode):
When powering up the main board in dark sensor mode, all five sensors must be exposed to complete darkness before the included electromagnetic lock deactivates. When all sensors are exposed to complete darkness, the electromagnetic lock deactivates for 20 seconds before activating again. The LCD readout confirms when the electromagnetic lock has become deactivated. It then informs you that it will reactivate in 20 seconds. This mode is extremely simple. The sensor boards can be mounted in places where players must cooperate to cover all sensors across a room in order to gain access to a secret compartment, or locked door being held shut by the electromagnetic lock. If you want to know more about the included electromagnetic lock, please see the video below.
Operation (Program#2 - Combination Mode):
When powering up the main board in combination mode, the LCD prompt will tell the user that they have 20 seconds to calibrate the puzzle. In order to do this, cover the sensor boards that you want to be "Dark sensors", and leave other sensors exposed to room light. All sensor board LEDs will light up shortly before calibration is complete. Once done, the LCD will prompt the game master to remove the objects placed in front of the relative sensors during calibration mode. Once calibrated, the sensor settings will be saved until power off. If during calibration mode, you covered the first and last sensor, and left the middle three sensors exposed to room light, then the electromagnetic lock will only be deactivated when the same setup is replicated by the players. If the players leave the middle three sensors exposed to room light, all while covering the first and last sensor, the electromagnetic lock will be deactivated, and the LCD will prompt the players with this information. After a few seconds, the LCD will tell the players that the electromagnetic lock will become active again in 20 seconds. Once 20 seconds has elapsed, the program resets, but the sensor settings will remain saved until power off. The video above gives you a very detailed example of this.
When you purchase this prop, you will receive:
5x Sensor boards (If you want more, I can customise a set for you for an additional fee)
