Please note that the below information is all covered in the above video manual. If you want to see this prop in action, please watch the above video. This prop acts as a complete escape room game, and there are three different game options to choose from. The idea is that the artificial intelligence unit that is charged with overseeing the daily operations of the center for disease control, has gone crazy! It has decided that it would be better if the human race was exterminated. You, as the players, are responsible for communicating with the system by answering the questions that it asks. Since the XR555 Artificial intelligence system has gone crazy, a lot of the questions that it asks you are ridiculous. The questions are outlined below.
Gameplay:
To win the game, you must convince the XR555 system that the human race is worthy enough to continue to exist. To do this, you have to answer three or more of the relevant questions correctly. This is where the game options come into play. On power up, you have the option of choosing between three modes of operation. While the system has ten questions to ask you, only five questions are relevant. There are five moral questions, and five ridiculous questions. The right answers (Depending on the game) are listed below. If you choose game#1 (Good), then the goal is to offer the most morally positive answer to the 5x moral questions. If you choose game#3 (bad), then the goal is to be morally deplorable when answering the 5x moral questions. In these two games, the 5x ridiculous questions are still asked, but the answers are redundant. If you choose game#2 (Puzzle), then the moral questions have no correct answer (are redundant), and the 5x ridiculous questions have correct answers. In puzzle mode, the game master hides clues to the answers to the ridiculous questions throughout the room. Again, the correct answers to each game can be found below. If you answer more than three of the relevant questions correctly, then you win the game.
RFID Shutdown Win:
One of the fun extras that this game has to offer, is that it comes with an RFID reader that connects to the main board. The game master can hide this reader behind a locked cabinet door. If the players find the right deactivation card, and the key to the cabinet, then they can shut down the XR555 for a win, and with hilarious results. This is a master shutdown option. This is just a separate way to complete the game. If you deactivate the system this way, the timer shuts off, the XR555 says some funny dialog, and you win the game! You can also easily re-program the RFID reader with your own RFID card if you'd like. There is avideo showing you how to do this below.
How To Lose:
There are two ways that you can lose the game. If you do not answer enough of the relevant questions correctly, then once all questions are answered, the XR555 system will essentially call the players idiots, and then tell them that it has followed through with its plan to expel all of the viruses and bachteria into the atmosphere. You'll also hear an explosion sound bite. Game over.... You lose...
Time Up:
The game has a 60 minute timer. If this timer runs out before you find the correct RFID card for manual shutdown, or if you haven't answered all ten questions before the timer runs out, then the game is over. You'll get talked down to by the XR555 before hearing an explosion sound bite. Game over... You lose...
