Thank you for taking an interest in our secret door/compartment combination keypad controlled, linear actuator prop set. The above video offers a full demonstration of how this prop works. When you purchase this prop, you will receive everything fully assembled as it is in the video. We can customise this set for your application. Here are the following features:
1) A 16-digit keypad module with audio output jack, and 4-wire cable connector (Comes connected to the main processor board).
2) 1x Fully assembled and tested controller board.
3) 1x Linear actuator set with 12" Plunger and mounting hardware. It comes connected to the main controller board
4) 1x Wireless transmitter keyfob
5) 1x AC-DC wall adaptor (9VDC 1A) to power the main controller board
6) 1x AC-DC wall adaptor (12VDC 5A) which is already connected to the main controller board, and acts to power the linear actuator.
7) 1x Safety key module with cable and 2x keys. The key module can be mounted with the included mounting nut
8) 1x Stereo cable
9) 2x 2-Pin header jumpers
How it works:
1) On power up, you can use the wireless transmitter to fully extend the linear actuator plunger. The package will be shipped with the plunger pulled in, but you'll need to extend it on power up with the wireless transmitter (Talked about in the above video). This unit requires two AC connections, as it comes with 2x power supplies. One powers the linear actuator via the main controller board, and one controls the keypad and the main controller board.
2) The included stereo cable can be connected between the combination lock audio jack, and your stereo system, so that you can hear the instructions.
3) After power up (Assuming that the plunger is fully extended), the unit will pull the linear actuator plunger all of the way in, which will open the door or compartment when you enter in the default combination, which is "Star, Number, One, One" onto the keypad. I can customise this unit with a different default combination if you'd like. On power up, you can enter in a different 4-digit combination on a per power-up basis, by pressing and holding the "#" number button
on power up. When you do this, the audio will indicate that you are now in program mode. At this point, you can enter in your own four digit combination.
4) When the plunger is fully extended after entering in the correct combination, the unit will indicate that the door is open. If the safety key is turned right, then you can simply press the "#" button on the keypad to extend the plunger again. If the safety key is turned left, then you need to press the "#" button on the keypad, AND turn the safety key right in order to extend the plunger. Once the plunger is fully extended again, the unit says "Door closed", and the program resets.
